The ABB UA95-30-11 Capacitor Duty Contactor is designed for reliable switching of three-phase capacitor banks used in power factor correction systems. Its 24V control coil operates on both 50Hz and 60Hz supplies, making it suitable for control circuits designed for this voltage.

The contactor has three main normally open contacts for switching the capacitor circuit and 1NO + 1NC auxiliary contacts for control logic and status indication. The UA95 capacitor-duty design is intended to handle the high inrush currents associated with capacitor switching, with a permissible peak current of up to 30 times the nominal RMS current. The listed AC-6b rating is 65 kVAr at 400/415V and 40°C.

With a conventional free-air thermal current of 145A at 40°C, the UA95-30-11 is suited to industrial power factor correction panels, capacitor-bank assemblies and electrical distribution applications.
