The ABB AX115-30-11-81 is a heavy-duty AX-series industrial power contactor designed for reliable switching and control of three-phase motors, pumps, compressors, HVAC systems, conveyors, machine tools and industrial automation equipment. Its robust block-type construction makes it suitable for MCC panels, control panels, OEM machinery, motor starters and demanding industrial applications.

This contactor features 3 normally open main contacts and 1NO + 1NC auxiliary contacts for dependable motor control, electrical interlocking and control-circuit signalling. It is equipped with a 24V AC control coil suitable for both 50Hz and 60Hz control systems.

The main circuit is rated up to 1000V at 60Hz, with a conventional free-air thermal current of 160A at 40°C according to IEC 60947-4-1. Under AC-3 duty, it provides 115A at 415V and 55°C, supporting motor applications up to 59kW at 415V. It also supports 100A at 440V and 500V, 82A at 690V, and 115A at 380/400V and 220/230/240V. Under AC-1 duty, the rated operational current reaches 160A at 690V and 40°C.

The ABB AX115-30-11-81 offers 690V rated insulation voltage, 8kV impulse withstand voltage, 8× Ie AC-3 breaking capacity and 10× Ie AC-3 making capacity. Its short-time withstand current is 800A for 10 seconds, 350A for 1 minute, 1,320A for 1 second and 500A for 30 seconds. It supports up to 300 electrical switching cycles per hour and provides mechanical durability of up to 10 million operations.
